After watching and learning the Konmari method of decluttering, I was inspired to do my own clean up. Last night, I finally decided to implement the Konmari method. To my surprise, the result was impressive!
At first, I was hesitant that the method would work. I am the type of person who tries to avoid cleaning up as much as I can, considering how time consuming it is. The thing with messy room is that it makes you feel as if your head is cluttered with mess. It does affect you. That’s why I gave this technique a shot.
My room was the complete representation of mess and I decided to change that. I started my de-cluttering session one section at a time. I started from my cluttered desk. I piled up the papers I no longer need and put them all in the trash. Then I move on to other sections in my bedroom.
The result: I felt so good afterwards. I was even more motivated to continue cleaning due to the good-feeling I felt. Cleaning truly does signifies that I’m putting my life together.
The hardest part The key to a successful Konmari implementation is .. determination and consistency. Good luck on your Konmari journey!
